Hello, Gorgeous Soul.

This is an extraordinary episode for a number of reasons. First, it’s a deeply personal story for me. I’ll take you through some moments in my life that were…we’ll say, challenging. The overnight loss of my fiance, Mike. My dad’s avoidable and yet, totally unavoidable death from alcoholism. A rocky period in my marriage. And I’ll relate how I was able to work my way through these moments and come out the other side ready for more of life’s magic.

Second, Episode 124 is also Episode 1 as we mark a fresh, new direction for our lil’ podcast community. Today is the day we up-level – together – from learning how to show up for ourselves to learning how to be Calm AF.

So. What the F is Calm AF? And how is it different from regular old calmness?

Calm is a feeling. Calm AF is a way of being. It’s an energy. When I talk about becoming calm AF I am not talking about walking around in some Zen blissed out state where nothing bothers you, man, and everything’s fine. Nope, that’s not it.

I am calm AF, but I’m not always calm. You can ask my family, I can be calm AF and angry. I can be calm AF and sad. I can be calm AF and ambitious, and I can be calm AF and calm. Calm AF is a knowing. It’s a deep knowing in your bones that who you are is enough. That who you are is not a problem. That who you are is not broken. Despite what you’ve accidentally trained yourself to believe.

In this foundational episode, you will learn that:

  1. Calm is a feeling. Calm AF is a way of being
  2. Calm AF isn’t a new thing to learn because it’s already there, wired into you
  3. Becoming calm AF is a return to trusting yourself, believing in yourself, and loving yourself deeply

Grab some coffee and give it a listen. You got this. And I got you.
